Blake Rutherford, who helms the Think Tank, appeared online with KATV’s Kristin Fisher tonight as part of her Daily Debrief.
In the 45-minute segment, which aired here, Blake talked about the local blogging community (thanks for the shout out!), Twitter, online video, communications in the online space and much more. The pair also took questions from online viewers.
The local ABC affiliate’s “Choose Your News” multimedia experiment continues to fascinate. Not only is a local TV news operation broadcasting lots of the newsgathering process live online and cultivating more interaction from viewers, it’s also creating live news content not available on its regular newscast.
It’s encouraging to see this new kind of investment in time and resources on the Web by a local mainstream news operation. Here’s hoping we see more of this soon.
