Well, all I can say is, three minutes on local TV isn’t as long as you might think.
As noted yesterday, I had the chance to sit down with U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., about the financial bailout plan Congress approved last week. In our brief (3 minutes!) interview earlier on “Today’s THV This Morning,” the senator talked about the plan, how it differs from its original form and whether it can work.

Yep, about two questions was all this print/Web guy could muster. And I had 10 prepared. Ten! Silly me. My broadcast pals at KTHV probably thought I was crazy.
At any rate, it was a nice conversation, and I was glad to have the opportunity. At least one of the things Lincoln said was exactly right: there’s lots more to be done in the face of this economic crisis. Congress has its work cut out for it to provide the oversight necessary to give this thing a shot at success. And that’s to say nothing of any additional measures that might be necessary to get at the root of these housing and credit problems.
