Jobs, the Economy, the Legislative Session on ‘Arkansas Week’

Barnes, still allowing me on the show

Barnes, still allowing me on the show

I’m on “Arkansas Week” again tonight, 8 p.m. on your local AETN station. Host Steve Barnes, University of Central Arkansas journalism guru David Keith, Arkansas News Bureau reporter Rob Moritz and I will be talking about several topics from a super-busy news week.

Tonight, more on:

The legislative session, which if you haven’t heard begins Monday. We talk cigarette tax, grocery tax and the lottery.

The Arkansas economy, including 7.2 percent national unemployment, Caterpillar, LM Glasfiber, Alcoa, Hawker Beechcraft and disappointing retail sales from Wal-Mart and Dillard’s.

Big moves at the Big Boy Chair: New execs at Tyson Foods, Wal-Mart and CDI Contractors.

And more!

I even worked in a Keith Richards reference. It’s always a good show when that happens.
