Media Notes: The Star-Tribune Goes Bankrupt

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune files Chapter 11 bankruptcy. “Minnesota’s largest newspaper will try to use bankruptcy to restructure its debt and lower its labor costs.”

The Boston Globe plans to “cut its newsroom payroll by as many as 50 full-time jobs, a reduction of nearly 12 percent in the company’s news and editorial staff.”
