Arkansas Business Marks 25th Anniversary

25 Years of Arkansas Business

25 Years of Arkansas Business

Arkansas Business this week is marking its 25th Anniversary. In fact, today is its official birthday, according to Publisher Jeff Hankins, who Twitters some trivia about what the world looked like when the weekly business newspaper launched in 1984.

Some of the festivities take place late this afternoon at an invitation-only reception at the Pleasant Valley Country Club. And next week, readers will receive a special, 132-page anniversary edition of Arkansas Business included with the regular weekly newspaper. In it, Editor Gwen Moritz’s editorial staff attempts to distill 25 years of business in Arkansas, including fascinating lists and profiles of a quarter-century’s worth of success stories, turnarounds, big deals, mysteries and living legends. It’s going to be a great read.

And while the print version is sure to be a collectors item, you’ll also be able to find the complete electronic version for free next week at ArkansasBusiness.com.
