For the third year, Delta Trust & Bank of Little Rock is taking UALR College of Business students to the annual shareholders’ meeting of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway company, which takes place tomorrow.
Perhaps no other shareholders’ meeting — save Wal-Mart’s — generates as much buzz and coverage as Hathaway’s. This year’s meeting promises to be especially interesting, given the financial crisis and the fact that Buffett’s firm is coming off its worst year ever, according to the Financial Times. About 25,000 people are expected to attend the gathering in Omaha, Neb.
Wouldn’t it be great if someone was there to, say, Twitter updates from the meeting?
As the CEO of a major Arkansas bank, it will be interesting to get Hill’s take on the event, which will include remarks from “the Oracle of Omaha” himself, Warren Buffett. You can follow Delta Trust here.
