A one-day summit in Bentonville today aims to connect businesses with moms who blog.
The “Mind of Moms” summit is a one-day event taking place at the DoubleTree Suites. The event looks to get these “mom bloggers” engaged with corporate America.
Session topics include: “How to pitch your products to bloggers,” “How to compensate bloggers while keeping it authentic and appropriate,” and “How to avoid bad PR and how to respond to a social media crisis.” The full list of topics and speakers are available here and here.
Mom blogs are said to be among the fastest growing segments of blogging (Problogger last year pointed out five reasons why), and women in general have been said to be more active on social networks than men. A quick glance at the list of Mind of Moms conference presenters will show you just how seriously corporate America is taking mom bloggers and how effective it believes moms can be in delivering its message.
Can’t Go? You follow conference activity on Twitter, of course, via #mindofmoms.
Also: We’d appreciate any dispatches from those in attendance. What’s your review of Mind of Moms? What was your big takeaway? Let us know in comments. (I’m looking at you, Natalie.)
